Morton Senior Receives Latino Heritage Leadership Award

Morton Flag Football Athlete Honored by the Chicago Bears with the Latino Heritage Leadership Award

Congratulations to Morton Senior, Yeniah Matos Delgado, who has been selected to receive the Latino Heritage Leadership Award presented by the Chicago Bears.

Yeniah’s application went through five rounds of committee selection to be the final student athlete. She will be honored during halftime on Soldier Field, October 1st at the Bears vs. Broncos game.

Her application will then go on to compete nationwide where the top 8 selected candidates will have the opportunity to attend the Pro Bowl.

Yeniah's coaches, Samantha Gutheim and Luis Castanon could not imagine a student athlete more fitting to win this award. Yeniah has played for our program since it began last year, and is our starting quarterback and competitive linebacker. She is also one of our team captains, a role she takes very seriously, and is always sure to provide support and check in with her teammates often.
