What is the mission of the Morton 201 Mathematics department?
To engage and prepare our students to be critical and independent thinkers who can persever in problem-solving in a post-secondary and real-world setting.

What is the vision of the Morton 201 Mathematics Department?
The Morton Mathematics Department will provide the tools necessary for all students to become problem-solvers, effective citizens, and productive members of our society. The tools are academic persistence, enjoy learning about mathematics and connecting mathematics to life outside of the classroom.

In the Mathematics department at District 201, students will learn the following:
- Integrated Mathematics 1 Core and Honors
- Integrated Mathematics 2 Core and Honors
- Integrated Mathematics 1 STEM - Available for 8th grade students
- Integrated Mathematics 2 STEM
- Integrated Mathematics 3
- Pre-Calculus STEM
- Advanced Placement (AP): Calculus AB and BC
- College Algebra/Trigonometry - Dual credit with Morton College if C or better
- Advanced Placement (AP): Statistics
- Quantitative Literacy - Exempt from Morton College placement test if C or better
- Algebra 3 - Exempt from Morton College placement test if C or better
- Multivariable Calculus is offered fall semester. Differential Equations is offered spring semester. Both courses are dual credit with Morton College. Students need to score a 3 or better on the AP Calculus BC exam in May of their junior year.
