As Principal of Morton West High School, I am very excited about the education that your child will get at Morton West High School.  Not only do we have the best teachers, coaches, and club sponsors, we have the best students a principal could ask for.  Our students and faculty provide and environment that is safe and academically rigorous.  I began my tenure at Morton West High School in 2009 and continue to be impressed  by our dedicated faculty and staff.  I have been married for seven years to my wonderful wife Katie and we have two sons Henry and Louie.

Welcome to Morton West!  I am honored to be a member of the District 201 family since 2000.   I have served in several roles during my tenure in District 201,  including eight years as a Social Science teacher at Morton Alternative School.   In 2009, I moved to Morton West High School and served as a Dean of Students for two years before accepting the position of Assistant Principal of Operations. I enjoy my position of assistant principal and work within the multiple facets to meet my primary goal of running a smooth and efficient school operation.   Some of the highlights of my work as Assistant Principal of Operations include:  master scheduling, new student enrollments, and  registration for current students. I also oversee Student Records, Health Services, Maintenance , and Safety and Security for the West Campus.

As the Assistant Principal for Instruction for the past ten years, and former teacher of Social Science beginning in 1996, I am proud of the many improvements that have occurred at Morton West.  In my current role as an instructional leader I facilitate the rigorous educational environment that occurs every day at Morton West.  Improvements in instruction through teacher collaboration have been recognized by being named a 2017 Model Professional Learning Community in Illinois.  As the administrator for the Advanced Placement program at Morton West I am proud that we have won the designation of National AP District of the Year in 2016 by the College Board for consistently having more students take Advanced Placement courses and pass their AP exams.   When not at school or with my family I also volunteer my time to my community’s schools because, like at Morton West, I know that family and community are an integral part of public education and the assurance that All Students Succeed.

It is a pleasure to be a part of the Mustang Family at Morton West High School as the Program Coordinator for Special Education.  At Morton West High School, we provide an entire continuum of special education services to our students who require such services.  These students include those who need adaptive and functional skills instruction to those in our instructional, inclusion, and resource continuums.  My goals are to help students with special needs succeed in high school and to provide them with the appropriate supports that will help them achieve their individual post-secondary goals.  Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering for Pillars on its Pillars Ball Committee.
