Welcome to Morton West!  I am honored to be a member of the District 201 family since 2000.   I have served in several roles during my tenure in District 201,  including eight years as a Social Science teacher at Morton Alternative School.   In 2009, I transferred to Morton West High School to serve in the role of Dean of Students for two years before accepting the position of Assistant Principal of Operations. I truly enjoy the multiple facets of the work I do to ensure smooth and efficient school operations. The highlights of the Operations position include overseeing the day-to-day operations of several departments such as registration, enrollments, student records, health services, maintenance, and safety and security.

I have been a proud member of the Morton West Family since 2009 serving the students and families as a Generalist Counselor, College and Career Counselor and the Counseling Department Coordinator.  There are many important decisions students are faced with during high school that will directly impact their future personal, educational and career goals, so I take pride in assisting our students in making those decisions and finding their path. I work closely with our counselors, social workers, psychologists, and support programs in order to implement interventions that impact the social emotional learning of our students, staff, and community.  Prior to my time as a school counselor I served as a child and family counselor in behavioral hospitals as well as for the Department of Children and Family Services.  Outside of school I love attending any Chicago Sports event, Go Cubs, and spending time with my husband, RJ, and three crazy kids, Parker, Cam and Dylan.

Welcome to Morton West High School!  I have had the pleasure of being an administrator at Morton West High School since 2016.  I started my educational career in January 2008 as a Special Education teacher and began my administrative career in 2016 as a Dean of Students at Morton West.  In my eight years of teaching, I worked with students ranging from five to twenty-one years old with a variety of disabilities in both the public and therapeutic day school setting. At Morton West, we provide an entire continuum of special education services.  We have programs ranging from adaptive skills instruction to resource services.  I will work closely with the students, staff, parents, administration, and community members to ensure that students receive a free appropriate public education in the least restrict environment.  My focus will be to support students who require special education services to become a productive member of society by supporting them in achieving their individual post-secondary goals.  I look forward to a successful and wonderful year!
