Meet the Tapestry Staff

  • Meet the Tapestry Staff at District 201

What do we do in Tapestry?

The West40 TAPESTRY program provides general education students with an opportunity to achieve academic success. Using a family-centered approach, TAPESTRY Student Advocates meet students and their families where they are and walk further with them to increase positive engagement in school. Program benefits include one-to-one mentoring, social-emotional support, goal setting, and linking families to school/community resources.

My name is Matt Coe and I am excited to serve as the West40 Area Director of Alternative Programs for the Cicero/Berwyn area.  I began serving in District 201 as the Site Coordinator for Seniors Plus Credit Recovery at Morton East in 2013 before moving to my current position in 2017.  My previous experiences include working with teens in residential treatment and transitional living programs in Michigan, Florida, DC, as well as here in Chicagoland. I am extremely proud to have a supporting role on a team that is passionately dedicated to serving our students to nurture success in school as well as in life.  To be a part of a young person’s life is such a great honor but also a huge responsibility.  I make it my goal to make a positive impact in a student’s life every day.
